Edmundo Romero Hernández
Originally from San Francisco Tlaltenco, Tláhuac CDMX. He began his musical studies with his father Luis Romero, later he entered the National Conservatory of Music in Mexico City, where he studied with maestros Felipe León, José Oviedo and Juan Manuel Arpero. He has taken courses with trumpet players Maurice Benterfa, Wolfgang Guggenberger, Pierre Dutot, Rudi Korp, Pacho Flores among others.
He was a member of the Bajio Philharmonic Orchestra in Guanajuato, Jalisco Philharmonic Orchestra, Jalisco State Symphonic Band, Symphonic Band of the Secretary of the Navy, Brass Quintet "Macuilli Mexica", the National Trumpet Ensemble with whom he toured Europe (France, Spain, Italy) in 2015 and with the ensemble "Teotihuacan" with whom he toured South Korea in 2017. For 28 years he has been a member of the Chamber Orchestra of the National Preparatory School (UNAM) and also serves as principal assistant of the National Symphony Orchestra of Mexico group with which he has toured Europe, the United States and the Mexican Republic, he has also been invited as a soloist in different cities of the Mexican Republic performing baroque, classical, contemporary and jazz music, highlighting the execution of the Suite for trumpet by Claude Bolling.

As a teacher, he has taught trumpet at the Faculty of Music of the UNAM and at the National Conservatory of Music. He has also made recordings with the Banda Sinfónica de la Plaza México, playing different paso dobles. Currently he is also invited to regional symphonic band competitions, where he serves as a jury member.
