Visiones en Color: Obra Contemporánea de Oaxaca

Visions in Color stars on October 2 until November 1 and brings together the work of eleven artists whose practices reflect the richness and diversity of contemporary art from Oaxaca, Mexico. Presented at Vashon Center for the Arts, the exhibition creates a cultural dialogue between Oaxaca and Washington State through original works exploring color, identity, tradition, and contemporary artistic expression. As part of the exhibition, the public is invited to a special Community Conversation on October 24 at 2 PM with participating artists, including renowned Mexican-Japanese artist and master Shinzaburo Takeda and Siboney García Santos, offering an opportunity to hear directly from the artists and learn more about their creative perspectives and processes. The exhibition is part of the 2026 MEXAM NW Festival, celebrating its 10th Anniversary, organized by the Consulate of Mexico in Seattle, thanks to our community partnership with Vashon Center for the Arts.
