Cumbia Roots

Discover the roots and evolution of cumbia through an interactive music and dance experience presented by Early Music Seattle. Dancer Adri “La Pollito” Tapia-Gomez, Antonio Gómez, and regional musicians will explore the rhythm’s origins in Colombia and its influence in Mexico, Texas, Peru, and beyond. The experience concludes with a hands-on music and dance workshop.
